As a business founded on family values, we pride ourselves on being transparent, trustworthy and loyal to our clients. Please take the time to read our trading terms and if you have any questions... just ask.
How we operate
Andrew will meet you on site to discuss your requirements, measure up the job and take some photographs if needed for reference purposes. This will be followed up by a quote which will have a detailed description of the work, a breakdown of the costs involved and be subject to VAT.
We are happy to advise customers on ways they can reduce costs through undertaking some preparatory work themselves or by altering the design specifications.
If the proposed work is more complex or there are factors which are hard to price, an estimate will be given and work can be organised on a pre-agreed day rate.
For the majority of jobs, no payment will be asked for until the work is complete. If there are special materials needed which are not available on our trade accounts, these may be billed for in advance.
Please note that alterations or changes agreed to original design specifications may be liable for additional charges.
Other considerations
ColwallStone cannot be held responsible for any additional costs or extra work following damage to underground cables or pipes which are not clearly marked on the site plan and which ColwallStone have not been made aware of prior to the work beginning.
We usually require access to water and sometimes electricity. To minimise inconvenience to you, we prefer this to be from an outside building such as a shed or a garage, whenever possible.
ColwallStone has public liability cover.
